The Kona Aloha Patrol
is a volunteer citizen’s patrol aimed at providing safe streets
and a friendly environment for residents, shop owners, employees
and visitors.
Our beat is the Kailua-Kona
Waterfront Area along Alii Drive. Each member patrols one night
a month (Th, Fr, or Sa) for 90 minutes. Our mission is to act
as the eyes and ears for the police, answer visitors’ questions,
and demonstrate the spirit of aloha.
All you need to do
to become a Aloha Patroller is fill out an application, attend
a short “talk story” orientation session with a local
community police officer and get on the schedule. As soon as you’re
accepted in the Patrol, we’ll get you a personal ID badge
and an official Aloha Patrol t-shirt. Apply today!
